レコーディングの機会が減ってしまったため
使って頂ける方にお譲りしようと思いました。

クリア、且つ、マッシブな太い音にする事も可能で、
私はベースのRECで使っておりました。ギターやボーカルでの使用も可能との事です

Groove Tubesの隠れた銘機（既に生産終了）であるThe BrickをFloatia Designsが特別にモディファイを施しました。

このマイクプリ/D.Iはカスコード接続されたサブミニチュア管6205と双三極管12AX7と12AU7という3本の真空管から構成されるチューブプリアンプです。ハードウェア的には安価帯とは思えないようなマテリアルが注ぎ込まれており、入力トランスはJensen製のJT-13KC、出力は同じく同社のJT-10K61で、真空管出力用に大型コアに変更された特注のCANタイプになっています。

このように既にハードウェア部分ではかなり秀逸な構成をしており、オリジナルでも高価格帯のスタジオ・アウトボードと謙遜ないサウンドではあったのですが、唯一無難に構成されていた部分が電源部分でした。今回は主に電源部分のModを施すことでサウンドを底上げしています。

ブリッジ整流には汎用素子が使われておりますが、ここがサウンドを鈍らせる数少ないウィークポイントでした。そこで普段から真空管機材やヴィンテージ電源の改良として最適としているファストリカバリダイオードに交換。その中でも特性を選別したものに差し替え。またB電源だけではなく+48Vファンタム電源用の整流回路にも手を加え、こちらも最適な別種のSBDダイオードに変更。またそれに合わせて基板上のパターンを強化しています

これによって真空管+Jensenトランスのパフォーマンスを最大に活かせるサウンドへチューンされました。特にローエンドとハイエンドの伸びが抜群で、ハイエンドの真空管アウトボードと肩を並べられる質感になっています。元々ローエンド方向には十分良好な特性を持っている本機ですが、高域も綺麗に伸びるようになってよりリッチなサウンドになっています。
